The Master Plan for the Development of Tourism in the Šibenik-Knin County until 2020 has been adopted

first_imgOn Friday, the Šibenik-Knin County Development Agency announced the new Šibenik-Knin County Tourism Master Plan (ŠKŽ) until 2020, a strategic document that determines the priorities of sustainable tourism development. It was also adopted by the County Assembly of ŠKŽ, which makes it ready for implementation.  Namely, on October 6, 2015, the Šibenik-Knin County, the Department of the Economy, announced a tender for the development of the Šibenik-Knin County Tourism Master Plan for the period up to 2020. The Urbanex-Krutak consortium (consisting of Urbanex doo and Krutak doo) was selected as the developer in the tender, and the contract was signed on 15 March 2016. The purpose of drafting the Master Plan of Šibenik-Knin County is to create a systematic presentation of the possibilities of integrated and sustainable tourism development of the county, in order to increase economic activity and the impact of tourism in the long run.As part of this, a working group has been defined that includes persons who are involved in the tourist activities of the County on a daily basis, and are part of the public, private or civil sector. To monitor the implementation of the Šibenik-Knin County Tourism Master Plan until 2020, an executive body called the Coordination Council was established, which consists of eight members: Goran Pauk-Šibenik-Knin County, Mira Lepur-Director of the Šibenik-Knin County Development Agency, Marlena Floigl-Head of the Administrative Department of Economy of Šibenik-Knin County,The task of the Coordination Council was to continuously monitor the process of creating the Masterplan in all its phases and through cooperation with the developers to form the final solutions of the Masterplan.The Masterplan document is divided into the following main thematic units: Situation analysis, Tourism development strategy te Action plan: Implementation activities.U analizi stanja dan je pregled postojećeg stanja s analizama internog okruženja u kojem su analizirani turistički resursi i ograničavajući uvjeti razvoja turizma, te analizom tržišta gdje su analizirana turistička kretanja na globalnoj i lokalnoj razini. Kroz ovo su poglavlje definirani rezultati dosadašnjeg turističkog i sveukupnog razvoja Županije, a oni predstavljaju ulazne podatke za izradu strategije turističkog razvoja. U strategiji turističkog razvoja je jasno definirano koji turistički resursi i koliko trebaju biti korišteni u narednom razdoblju, kako ćemo adresirati ograničavajuće uvjete i kakva bi u turističkom smislu trebala postati Šibensko-kninska županija do 2020. godine.The action plan details how to achieve the interventions identified in the strategy.
